Whut?

My In-Laws decided we should all go around the table and say what we were thankful for and I was feeling nervous about it and when I'm nervous I get goofy (just like Chandler from "Friends"!) and everyone was saying "...family and friends..." and stuff and when it was my turn I said, "I'm thankful to live in a country where the transfer of power is done peaceably." It's an actual true sentiment, but all night since I've been home when I think about that, I crack up laughing. Hey, I'm goofy. It's what I do.

Goofy compared to the others, but it's a damned good thing we've got going here, despite all the grousing.

Well, it really is something to be thankful for. Maybe you are not goofy. Maybe you have good insight.

What was the reaction from the others? Did they appreciate the thought or did they all look stunned?

Jazz,
~~No kidding!

LGS,
~~Actually it was sort of an inside joke because my husband says that all the time.

Xup,
~~Stunned silence. It was really hard for me to keep a straight face.

Hey Gee, Happy Thanksgiving! I have barely been on the computer in days, so I'm playing catch up now.

It may be funny, but I agree with you! I'm thankful to be living in this country for SO many reasons! And I'm thankful for a "goofy" neighbor too. :D

Non conformist are we? But I'm sure that many people in the world would just love to be thankful for that...

Ha; we did that, and my friend said she was thankful for coke & captain Morgan spiced rum.

BB,
~~So true.

Gnightgirl,
~~She's brave! If I had been that brave, I would have said "beer and cigarettes."
