One of my favorite moments was sitting on the wooden steps that go right down into the Mississippi River and thinking, "There's the river that inspired Mark Twain." And at the same time a man was playing some sort of horn nearby. Maybe a saxophone. It was very Zen and I was wishing I had a hammock.

There's not a whole lot to tell because mainly we just walked around and stopped in bars for beers. 21 miles of that apparently. I loved it.

Looks like a wonderful holiday.
They were all great and entertaining pictures. Doesn't look like your shoulder slowed you down at all.
Glad you had a fun trip, and glad the Christmas decorations were leftover there in New Orleans! Looked real pretty & festive!
We will have to see if we can find that Strawberry Ale!
Oh - and I would have never known that was a mannequin on the balcony. Pretty funny!
Thank you for the tour and commentary.
That is a tiring idea to have a pedometer - then again, I am curious as to how much I walked when I spent 12 hours walking around NYC.
I like some Belgian fruit beers (cherry or kriek) is my fave - you are right there is no need for them to be so sweet.
Looking forward to your old cemetery shots.
Jazz,
~~Yeah, it was fun. Lots of laughing. I love that.
LGS,
~~All the beers helped.
Carole,
~~If you look very closely you can also see her in the other balcony picture. My Sweetie thought it was a real person when he first saw her. It was dark then. Yeah that was it. Not the alcohol.
Ian,
~~Glad you enjoyed.
VioletSky,
~~I will probably scan them this afternoon. The pedometer thing is just a tiny computer gadget he clipped on. It was as small as a flash drive.
