Sold?

My parents have accepted an offer and signed a contract!! The buyers have a closing date on the house they are selling of November 21st. They are pre-approved and hopefully all will go well with their sale and they will turn around a cut a check to my parents and that will be the end of THAT. I was supposed to go over there one more time to change the settings on the thermostat and sprinkler system, but unless we get a freeze warning before then, I am NOT going. Yay!!

How appropo... November is the month for giving thanks. :) If their house closes on schedule, maybe they can have a "new" home by end of month, if not sooner.

Just how far is your parents' house from yours, anyway?

Just in time for Thanksgiving Turkey! They will be able to spend the holidays in their new home, and you won't have any extra house hassles over the holidays either. Perrrrfect!

Scarlet,
~~Thanks! I can't wait until it's over.

VioletSky,
~~Yes! Now get your car fixed and get THAT over with.

Urban Animal,
~~You and me both.

Jammy,
~~A new home? They already have the beach place and the mountain place in N.C., but I would like them to buy something. You will laugh about the mileage because you live in a place where people drive 30 miles just to eat dinner - it's 14 miles away but it seems like 100.

Carole,
~~I will be there with them for Thanksgiving. I think we're going to have N.C. pork barbecue. Or seafood. Yum either way.

Wow, this has been like the longest mini-series in history. How nice that an end is finally in sight! Sweet, sweet freedom.

Jazz,
~~Yay!!

Xup,
~~It feels like a whole year! I still have the Christmas stuff to sell. I was supposed to have a yard sale with my MIL but then Bill got sick so that's all on hold. Soon, though...I have a plan.

CONGRATULATIONS! That is the shortest Escrow I've ever heard of---Or, maybe you don't have "escrows" there?
ANYWAY.....I think that is fantastic! Hope all goes well.
