More Crazy Temps
We had a low of 46° today. We have had our heat on since yesterday. This is unheard of. It is now 48° and dark and rainy and thundery. I think I will make a fire. (Now I don't feel bad for not having cleaned out the fireplace yet.) This weekend we will be in San Antonio and the temperature for Saturday there is is supposed to be 94°. This will be like my New York trip all over again, cold then hot in just a few days. My cat Barney thinks I control the weather and he is mad at me. I don't blame him.

Scanning the weather this weekend, my wife saw that it was in the low 50's in Dallas, it was just dropping below 70 in Waco, and it was still close to 90 in Temple. I don't think I had ever seen such a drastic temperature difference in such a short distance before. By the time we got home, I was really wishing I had selected something else besides shorts and a T-shirt because IT GOT COLD.
If Barney is right, could you please turn the thermostat back up a bit?

~~It's not the temperature so much as the wet that Barney hates. He would prefer to be in the yard rather than the garage - where he seems to have been hanging out all day, although he has obviously gone out a few times because his tail is wet.
Gee -- welcome to our weather as it is these days. Right now here it is 50 and even for here that's cold for the time of year.
