The Week In Pictures

This is the medievel hold (or keep) that I built for my warriors.

Here's a close-up view

This is a view to the left of our cottage.

This is the view to the right.

That's a group shot of family and friends down on the beach.

This is the kitty that ran into our cottage on the
last night and slept on the deck.
I named her TigerBelle.

This is me on the boat that cruises the intracoastal waterway.

And this is the boat: The Belle of Topsail

This is a cool seabird with a nest on a buoy marker. Please refrain fom the obvious numerical jokes as Captain Dave already made all of them.

We saw a bunny at my parents' place.

And that's me on the steps that lead down to the beach.
It was a great week!

Yay -- welcome back! You look really happy and refreshed in the pictures! What a medievel hold, that looks like it was a lot of fun to build.

I love your substitute kitty, I always miss my cats when I go on vacation.

What a great view you had, you took pictures left and right, but what was straight ahead?

Hehehe, I crack myself up. What? You took away all the 69 jokes... :P

Welcome back! Missed you lots! Love the pics of everything and of course, the cat (you know me with cats). Great view, amazing beach too. You are so lucky! Sound and smell of the ocean, nothing better than that. Loved the castle hehehehe only you could think of doing one :)

Woo-hoo! You're back full force. I like that, and boy, you look fantastic...well rested and happy!

I love the beach photos, especially the soldiers in the sand. :)

TigerBelle is adorable. You make all kinds of friends on the road, don't you?

Hey Geewits!

Welcome home! Love the pictures and you look very cute in your black and white boat outfit. I'd love to visit North Carolina beaches too now. It looks so beautiful there. Looks like the bunnies and kitties just follow you around. I'm sure your own bunnies and kitties missed you.

I guess now that our vacations are over we'll have to hide out in our air conditioned houses till Autumn comes. It's 99 degrees today and is suppose to be COOLER at 95 tomorrow. Hahahaha That's not really funny, but the heat has boiled my brain.

Also, we learned a really fun new card game from the kids on our vacation, so you and hubby will have to come play it with us.

JJ,
~~That cat was SO funny! I opened the sliding door to the deck and she just ran in. I chased her all over the cottage, up and down stairs and finally put her out the downstairs (second floor) door. Then I went back upstairs to go out on the deck again and she ran back in! I also wanted to tell you the tall guy in the white shirt is my brother and we actually had a nice visit.

Urban Animal,
~~The sound of the ocean is my favorite thing! We had fun bulding our little rough fort, but the best part was later as we were standing on the beach, some little boy discovered our fort and was all excited about it.

Scarlet,
~~I was very relaxed and happy and had a great time. We didn't want to leave and decided to make it an annual event.

Ian,
~~Thanks, I really was.

Carole,
~~I can't hid out until I get that house sold, but it sounds like a great idea! What's the name of the card game?

Geewits,
The name of the card game is Tractor. I looked up the game on the internet, and the rules my daughter-in-law taught us was a different game then the one I found there. They use to play it back in China. It is really fun too! I was addicted after the first hand.

I marvel at your amazing sand sculpture skills. If I ever need to build a home out of sand, I know who to call.

JJ,
~~It was an unexpected surprise.

Jazz,
~~It is as on the beach as you can get although there are the sand dunes there to cross over. We opened our bedroom window every night to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. We are going to make it an annual event so just pick your year. But Mr. Jazz has to cook 2 nights.

Xup,
~~Well, I guess if you are into the whole medievel thing. it was cool though and had a ramp and a back staircase. There was even the traitor seen talking to the attackers. (For some reason I had to make a complete story of it, and my husband being a D&D guy really loved it.)
