Day One
Well I suppose the first entry on a first blog should be some type of mission statement. I don't remember exactly when I first started reading blogs - maybe 3 or 4 months ago - but I really found them fascinating. Now I have probably 12 or so that I check every day. Some are fascinating in a trainwreck sort of way and some are just fascinating. I've always been a people person and get to read about the lives of people that I would never have come across in "real life." At some point I realized I would like my own blog and finally got up the nerve to go for it. I've been blogging, in a sense, for about 2 years but to an audience of one. I have a friend in North Carolina that I've been e-mailing every Sunday thru Thursday night. I'll call her Lolo. Since October '99 she and I have been on lots of trips together. Those are good stories themselves, for later. I was born in Goldsboro, NC in 1961. In December of 7th grade we moved to Durham, N.C. Going to Duke basketball games was a big part of my life. In January of my senior year I decided to get to know my mom better and moved to Fort Worth, Texas and with the exception of a year at UNC-G and some other scattered months, I've been here ever since. I have a lot of stories and look forward to telling them. Now I have to figure out how this whole thing works.
