And you had to do it that way, because if you tried to just slide that drainer thing out, all the small lids would slide right through it. And the bottom shelf? Well because it was below eye level, I pretty much used only the front 8 inches. I didn't even know what was behind the stuff in front. So I cleared out that bottom shelf.:

Anyway I got this pull out drawer plastic bin thing and transferred all the plasticware from the blue drainer basket to the drawer:

A plastic pull out drawer is exactly what I use for my 'tupperwares'! And it on the bottom shelf. Very, very handy. What I would really like is a pantry cupboard that is only 8' deep, that way all the tinned stuff is right there with no reaching.
What a brilliant idea. I need one of those.
My problem is that I haven't yet figured out how to best use the cupboards in my kitchen. I don't know what they were thinking when they laid the place out.
The storage of the tupperware is the bane of many households' existence. We have a pretty good system going in a bottom drawer, with lids separated, and it STILL makes me crazy. Then I go to my in-laws' house and realize how good we have it.
We have one of those little white footstools. We've had it forever and it remains reliable.
VioletSky,
~~Exactly!
Jazz,
~~You'll figure it out. And make it better.
Jocelyn,
~~The plasticware is always greener on your side.
Ian,
~~I have another one, a blue one by my bed. It's a high bed. I use it to get into bed and to stretch my feet on in the mornings before I get out of bed. They are great.
