A First and a Seventh

Today is our seventh wedding anniversary. I've never been married seven years to anyone before, so this is a first for me. I reached a sixth anniversary once, back in 1994 and I don't remember anything about it, which probably explains why it was the last one. After being divorced twice, I guess I was cynical and thought marriage was something you do for awhile. I'm glad I was wrong about that. I actually found the person that I will be with until I die, and I think it's a good thing. A very good thing.

  1. Happy Happy Anniversary, my dear geewits! Your hubby was a darling little boy! And he sounds like he is a "keeper" as they say....! Hope you have a very spcial "day"!

  2. Oh, that's so wonderful and touching. It's a great thing to know that you've found the single person that you like AND love. :)

Hehe, doesn't mean they're perfect, just means your quirks are compatible and that makes him perfect for you. :)

  6. I just noticed your Charlie Brown tree. I love it! We always try to get a Charlie Brown tree. Christmas just isn't the same without a Charlie Brown tree. LOL.

  7. Josie,
~~I've been practicing doing Linus's voice, saying, "Actually Charlie brown, it's not such a bad tree after all." I made My Sweetie laugh today doing that. In 2005 Urban Outfitters was selling a Charlie Brown Christmas tree replica:

I don't know if they still have it.

  9. Some times you have to try on a couple of sweaters before you find the prefect one for you. Husbands are kind of like that. I had to try on one just to discover what I was really looking for. I found it 21 years ago and it makes me so happy I didn't settle for the first one.

    Happy Anniversary to you both.

  12. We'll be marking our 10th Christmas together this year, so I think I know what you feel with your #3, since that's the way mine works for me, too. And, I too once looked like he did. Happy for you on your anniversary.

~~He was quite the little cutie. I think my favorite is one of his Hawaii soccer photos.
