Howze I Beez

That picture from Topsail Island really fits my mood of late. I was trying to analyze it (my mood of late) and the best I could figure was that it was from the change in the weather. I'm not exactly sure that's what it is though. I tend to get very introspective when I go through my really feel good spells. Because, it would be nice to have them on demand in the future when I need them. The reality is that my cozy happy mood is probably some randomly generated chemical thing that I can never duplicate. Whatever it is, I'm enjoying it.
~
On the other hand, I am not enjoying the blogging community like I used to. Oh I still love reading the usual suspects - even though SOME OF YOU (yes, YOU!) do not post very often, but some of the blogs I used to read started to get on my nerves for one reason or another. There are only a handful of blogs I really enjoy. I'm not one of those bloggers that goes around leaving comments all over the place so that I'll get lots of comments. Maybe that's the way this game is supposed to be played, but I guess I didn't get a rule book.
~
I've always said that my main purpose for blogging was to keep a journal (I never kept a written one) and man has it really come in handy. It's so easy to look up dates of stuff and more importantly, when our computer died, I had all these pics on my blog that did not die with the computer.
~
I also get a big kick out of how many people I may have helped with little projects. According to my feedjit, I get hits every day on how to make hat stands and footstools. Man, the English are really interested in footstools! I also get lots of hits about the danger of touch control lamps and how to make a photo ribbon board. I don't get feedback from those people, but I hope I helped a lot of them. A part of me likes to think that people are making photo boards, rewiring their lamps, making hat stands and footstools just from what they read here. Hey! It's possible.
~
Anyway, I am really enjoying the cooler weather and not sweating. I'm already in the mood for Christmas and looking forward to everything about the rest of this year including my 9th wedding anniversary in one week. Wow! 9 years! That's big for me. And for the 3 or 4 Americans that read my blog - Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, I know I'm one of those who don't post as often as I used to. I just checked my last years numbers and I realize I will have posted less this year even with 3 extra months!
For a moment there, I thought you were going to say goodbye...

Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! And Happy Anniversary. I'm glad you're feeling good. I think this time of year is when humans naturally get introspective and feel more content about things -- ready to hunker down for the darker months.

9 years! Congratulations!

I haven't been blogging much lately either, because by the time the day is over at work the last thing I want to do is type some more. It's been all about work for the past month, what with organizing the annual shareholders meeting. But after this weekend, where I'll be taking minutes (hurl), and between typing out the damn thing the following week, maybe I'll manage to get back online.

I miss it. Blogging keeps me sane. At least I'm still managing to read y'all...

Congratulations Geewits on your 9th. Here in the great white north it's the lack of sunlight that finally gets to you and not in a good way. We get up in the dark nd when we get home it has been dark for at least an hour...a mighty depressing/tiring state of being. That is one of the reasons why I haven't been blogging much (I hope I'm not one of those getting on your nerves. ;o) ), that and the fact that organizing a humanitarian trip to Ecuador with my students is keeping me really busy.

VioletSky,
~~You are so sweet! I'm not going away and I hope you stick around, too. I love your posts because they are not predictable or like anyone else's. That's what it's all about!

Xup,
~~You're probably right. Or maybe it's the coziness of a fire in the fireplace or the excitement of the upcoming holidays or the not fricking sweating all over the place anymore.

Mr. Jazz,
~~Thanks! See you guys at the beach in May (wink wink)

LGS,
~~Thanks I am quite proud of myself. First marriage - 4 years, Second Marriage - 7 years. I am making some headway here!

Jazz,
~~Ouch! - sorry to hear about the giant workload. I hope you get a big pleasant break soon.

BB,
~~No, I'm used to your very sparse blogging. I was talking about subject matter. I'm sorry you have short sunlit days. I don't think I'd like that at all.
